Enamel is a protective layer of molten glass applied to metal objects to protect them. The enamel is smooth, hard, very hygienic, non-flammable, durable and has a high color fastness. Since the enamelling process is done by hand and not by machine, it is possible that the enamel will be applied to the unfinished cast of varying thickness, which may cause slight surface irregularities. Small black spots or pores may be visible, as well as uneven edges. They do not affect corrosion protection.
